How to read a battery fitment recommendation
Getting a battery right is not about brand — it is about four numbers matching your vehicle. Every recommendation in the tool above carries all four.
AH — capacity
Ampere-hours describe how much charge the battery stores. A petrol hatchback typically needs 35–45 AH, a diesel SUV 65–90 AH, and a truck or genset 120–200 AH. Too little capacity and the starter struggles on cold mornings; far too much and the alternator never tops it up on short trips.
Part number — case size
Codes such as 50B20L, 105D31R or DIN55 encode the physical dimensions and terminal layout. This is the number to quote when ordering, because two 35 AH batteries can have completely different footprints.
R or L — terminal side
The suffix tells you which side the positive terminal sits on when you face the battery. Fit the wrong hand and the cables will not reach. If your old battery is unreadable, we check the tray in person before supplying.
Series — warranty and build
The same vehicle often has two or three valid options. A longer-warranty series costs more upfront but covers more months; a value series suits a vehicle you plan to sell soon. The tool shows every valid option side by side.
Amaron series and warranty periods
Warranty is quoted as free replacement months plus pro-rata months. In the free period a verified manufacturing defect is replaced at no cost. In the pro-rata period you receive a credit against a new battery, proportional to the unexpired months. Use our warranty calculator to work out exactly where your battery stands today.
| Series | Built for | Free replacement | Pro-rata | Total cover |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Amaron Pro Bike Rider (BETA) | Sealed maintenance-free 2-wheeler battery | 24 months | 24 months | 48 months |
| Amaron FRESH | Entry-level maintenance-free battery | 12 months | — | 12 months |
| Amaron BLACK | Heavy-duty battery for commercial, tractor and utility duty; supplied in both vented and sealed MF variants | 18 months | — | 18 months |
| Amaron PRO | Longest-warranty maintenance-free car battery | 36 months | 30 months | 66 months |
| Amaron FLO | Popular maintenance-free car battery | 30 months | 25 months | 55 months |
| Amaron GO | Value maintenance-free car battery | 24 months | 20 months | 44 months |
| Amaron HARVEST | Purpose-built tractor and farm battery | 18 months | 18 months | 36 months |
| Amaron HI-WAY | High-cranking battery for trucks, buses and gensets | 18 months | 6 months | 24 months |
Warranty periods are as printed on the manufacturer's application chart and are subject to the terms on your warranty card. Physical damage, incorrect installation and dry-out from missed water top-ups are not covered.

Fitment questions we get asked
How do I know which battery fits my car?
Three things must match: AH capacity, the physical case size, and the terminal layout. Search your model above and the tool returns all three plus the warranty period. If your existing battery label is still readable, the part number on it is the safest reference of all.
What does the R or L at the end of a part number mean?
It marks the side of the positive terminal as you face the battery. BL1000R and BL1000L are otherwise identical. Fitting the mirrored version usually means the cables will not reach the posts safely.
Can I fit a higher AH battery than recommended?
A modest step up is generally fine if the case fits the tray and the terminals align — it buys extra reserve for music systems, lights and accessories. Jumping far above the recommendation is wasted money, because your alternator's charging profile is matched to the original capacity.
My model shows two or three battery options. Which do I pick?
They all fit. The difference is warranty and build. If you keep vehicles long, take the longest-warranty series. If you are selling within a year or two, the value series makes more sense. Our staff will talk you through the price difference honestly.
Is the chart a guarantee the battery will fit?
No — it is a manufacturer guide. Facelifts, CNG variants and start-stop versions of the same model can carry a different tray. We verify tray size and terminal position free of charge before fitting, in store or at your doorstep. See our service options.
Do you fit the battery at my home or office?
Yes. Doorstep replacement across Nagpur is included, with digital testing before and after fitting, and safe disposal of the old battery. Emergency support starts at 6:00 AM — details on our morning emergency service page.
Not sure what you are looking at?
Send us a photo of your existing battery label. We will read the part number and confirm the correct replacement, stock position and price — usually within a few minutes.
